ABOUT - CIM

The Chartered Institute of Management (CIM) is a non-profit-making organization incorporated in 1990 by Letters Patent from the Government of Canada. It provides practical means of assessing professional capabilities and acquiring professional recognition.

CIM seeks to play an innovative and progressive role in the ongoing professional development of practising managers and business leaders throughtout the world.
CIM is one of the leading professional organizations conducting training in Action research and plays a leading role in the field of Knowledge Management. It provides unique programs designed and implemented within a network of academic partners, consultants and business practitioners around the globe.

CIM has evolved in response to today's complex, competitive and rapidly changing work environment and the Memorandum of Objectives recently revised by CIM has expanded the scope and practice to include advisory and counseling services to educational organizations as may be deemed appropriate to the ongoing professional development of the business administration and human resources management programmes.


Our Objectives
  1. To assist and encourage people to strive for the highest standard of professional excellence at every level of management;

  2. To be regarded as an authority on management practice and professional development;

  3. To promote the spread and value of the most up-to-date management skills and knowledge;

  4. To provide a structure and system of examinations and evaluations for the issuance of certificates of proficiency in management;

  5. To provide entrepreneurs and senior executives with information on workshops, seminars and similar programs developed for business people and facilitate access to them; and

  6. To provide a national voice on issues affecting all aspects of business and management.
